The Benefits of Reiki Reiki works on all levels of being - mental, physical, emotional and spiritual and stimulates the body's natural healing ability. It can reduce and/or eliminate pain, relieve stress and anxiety and nurture a positive space to deal with life's challenges. Many people suffering from terminal illnesses have found Reiki to be beneficial to their emotional state, engendering a greater serenity and inner strength to help them through their remaining days. Reiki supports both orthodox and complementary treatments and no special belief system is required to experience the healing. Length of Treatment One and a half hours should be allowed for the duration of the session. It is recommended that Reiki is given over a course of four sessions initially. To book your Reiki session, click here. Learning Reiki Reiki is a gift available to everyone regardless of their spiritual or religious beliefs and requires no special qualifications. It cannot, however, be learnt from a book and can only be received through a special initiation by a Reiki Master Teacher who attunes the student to the Reiki energy. Reiki I is taught over a weekend workshop in a caring and relaxed atmosphere in which you will learn and practice the hand positions for self-treatment and others. A certificate of qualification is given on completion of the course. Reiki II is a powerful two-day course open to those who have completed Reiki I and practised on themselves and their friends for at least three months. This level takes us deeper into our own personal transformation work and strengthens our transmission of the Reiki energy. You will learn ways to empower the hand positions of Reiki I and other techniques. Participants will receive a certificate on completion of the training.
